Both secondary sedimentation tanks of the purification plant are currently being renovated for around 90,000 Euros.
METELEN. They are relentless. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The large scrapers above the secondary sedimentation tank of the water treatment plant work very hard. But they were no longer working properly. The tank top edge was worn, the system did not run smoothly any more. The municipality decided to invest some money to ensure proper operation.

The new tank top edges of the secondary sedimentation tank of the purification plants cost 90,000 Euros.
METELEN. A rotten smell is in the air. But this is normal on the premises of a purification plant. A secondary sedimentation tank without water, however, as in the water treatment plant of the town of Metelen is unusual.

Brand new: Free from ice – at virtually zero cost in the long run!
Of course, heatable scraper tracks make winter operation a lot easier. The fact, however, that no external energy sources are required and thus the operating costs of a heating system of this kind are virtually zero, is new.
Purification plant of Felsenberg – Renovation during operation
From 17 to 25 June 2009, the purification plant of the city of Felsenberg on an area of almost 500 sq m was renovated by our experts with SIVV certificate. Comprehensive concrete repair work was conducted at the gutter and a scraper track heating system, pronged sills as well as the scrum board were completely manufactured and installed.
